The final skills’ practice course integrates knowledge and skills from all previous courses and provides students the practical setting to demonstrate effective professional communication behaviors, use operating systems and health forms accurately, to complete the beginning tasks of a health unit clerk (HUC). This course also prepares students to utilize resources to work safely and confidently in HUC practice. The student must work on days and times assigned by the instructor. The working hours could involve days, evenings, or weekends schedules. A minimum of 96 hours is required.
